  • For fuel, snacks, drinks, pre-packed sandwiches, essential shopping - Morrisons Service Station - Wilbraham Rd/Buckingham Rd, M21 0SD (alongside Metrolink entrance)
  • The nearest cash dispenser is at the Shell garage (see above). For Banks and other cash dispensers - Natwest, HSBC, RBS, Santander - all at the main traffic lights/crossroads at Chorlton Cross, (Wilbraham Rd/Manchester Rd East/Barlow Moor Rd) M21 0BR

Getting to church by Metrolink

Coming from the city centre, you can catch the Metrolink to Chorlton via any of the routes shown below.

Route to our church in Chorlton

Piccadilly (Station): Take any outgoing tram on the Metrolink platform heading to Altrincham, Eccles or Media City. Stay on the tram as far as St Peter's Square, alight, and then wait for either an East Didsbury or a Manchester Airport tram, getting off at Chorlton.
Piccadilly Gardens: As for Piccadilly (Station).
Victoria Station: Take an East Didsbury or Manchester Airport tram, getting off at Chorlton.
Exchange Square Take an East Didsbury tram, getting off at Chorlton.
Shudehill: If a Manchester Airport tram comes first, stay on it to Chorlton. If an Altrincham tram comes first, take it as far as St Peter's Square, alight, and then wait for either an East Didsbury or a Manchester Airport tram, getting off at Chorlton
Market Street: As for Shudehill.
St Peter's Square: Take an East Didsbury or Manchester Airport tram, getting off at Chorlton.
Deansgate/Castlefield: As for St Peter's Square.

 

Other Metrolink lines

Travelling to Chorlton from Metrolink stops on the:

  • Altrincham line: you can change lines at Trafford Bar and pick up the East Didsbury or Manchester Airport trams. (Travellers with mobility issues may prefer to stay on the tram from Altrincham until Cornbrook and then use the more accessible facilities at this larger station to change to the East Didsbury or Airport trams.)
  • Eccles line: change at Cornbrook to the East Didsbury or Airport trams.
  • Airport/Wythenshawe line: you have a direct service to Chorlton.

ChorltonMetrolinkJourney time from the city centre to Chorlton is 15 to 20 minutes. 

On arrival at the Chorlton Metrolink platform, climb the stairs (or take the lift) to the road level and turn left.  As you walk down the slope of the bridge and pass the petrol station on your left, the church building is coming up on your right, across the road, just a hundred yards or so from the tram station.

Trams run every 12 minutes on each line.
